Scottish Monuments Update


Hi everyone.
It has been a while since we sent out one of our wee newsletter updates.
I ended up in bed for months last year with pleurisy and it has taken quite a while to get back on my feet. catching up now I am glad to say and we should be back out on the road photographing as soon as the weather clears a bit.

Janette has been working hard transcribing the data we had to hand and I am glad to say we have another 4 CDs all ready to go.
Dunfermline Cemetery should be due soon, please be aware this was a big project which will take up to 4 CDs to get all the data on, we hope to have at least part of the 4 ready for the April Family History Fair in Dunfermline and on the website as soon as possible.
Thanks for all the feedback we have received over the months regarding the CDs, it is always appreciated as are any corrections you find, we do make changes when needed.
Scottish Monumental Inscriptions will have tables at the following confirmed shows this year.

SAFHS Conference 2014 on Saturday 26th April in the Carnegie Conference Centre, Halbeath Road Dunfermline. from 9.30 am -4.45 pm

West Lothian Family History Society are also hosting a show which we will be attending at Linlithgow Academy on Saturday 10th May from 10am - 4.30 am

We are also heading over to the Lanarkshire Family History society Family History Fair in the Glebe Centre in Motherwell on Saturday 23rd August

Then we have Stirling Council Libraries and Archives ‘Wha’s Like Us?’ Family History Event, 13th September 2014

Others have still to be confirmed. Hope to see some of you there, please stop by and say hello.
 

New CD's since the last newsletter.

Scottish MIs currently has 302 CDs available to buy with at least another 10 in various stages of completion.

The following CDs are now available from the Scottish MIs website, these can also be bought as PDF digital downloads, please be aware there are no images with the downloads.If you do find a relative in the downloads section, please email us and we will send you a copy of the image needed.
